brand re-design / brand growth

Family Friendly Farms hired Straight Creative to re-design their website, update their logo, streamline memberships/exclusive products, and improve SEO. This project took three months.

THE PROBLEM

When Family Friendly Farm’s website was originally launched back in 2015 there were very few businesses that could rival their online offerings when it came to pasture-raised meats. After 2020 and the explosion of family farms and massive moves to sell online, that was no longer the case. In order to keep up with the competition, they needed to upgrade the website to a more modern look with additional information to set them apart once more.

THE SOLUTION

The main issue was the homepage. After some deliberation we opted to keep it as familiar as possible while modernizing the copy with icons and photos. A website is all about hierarchy; FFF knew that in order to stand out they needed to highlight the strengths that customers valued both in the past and presently. The next step was to update the logo. While this wasn’t a complete redesign, the typography and layouts were refined. Lastly, we developed their Healthy Meat Buyer’s Club, exclusive products, and search engine optimization.

COLOR PALETTE

The color palette to a brand identity is one of the building blocks to the brand as it will be utilized everywhere. Color has important psychological implications and so choosing the right colors for a brand is incredibly important; selecting colors both relevant to the brand and that incite the right psychological response becomes a balancing act.

LOGO VARIATIONS

Logo variations are used depending on space restrictions. Good practice is to use the primary logo whenever possible. However, logo variations such as the Submark are created with Social Media profile dimensions in mind while the Mark or Icon are great for small restricted sizes such as the website favicon.
